ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Self-Management Skills
Course details
We all need to develop and promote our Self-Management skills sets if we are to develop successful careers. Some of these are obvious, they are generally known as hard skills and include formal qualifications and business tools, but others, known as soft skills, are gained through work experience and from observing how others behave. It is these skills we need to: manage people, enable us to engage, influence, and earn the support of others and to manage change in the workplace.
Self-Management Skills are about self-knowledge, identifying what you do well, and recognising ways of improving and honing those skills. In addition, by acknowledging our limitations, we are able to delegate and/or acquire additional skills. Very few managers are trained to manage, and many management skills are acquired over time and through experience.
What you will gain This Self-Management Skills training provides a baseline for understanding self-management skills as building blocks for business success and is supported by additional courses in our portfolio which deal with the specifics in more depth. This training course will focus on:
