Course details

Many organisations consider themselves to be project led, and those who aren’t frequently have a substantial number of improvement projects in place at any one time. Managing projects within a defined structure will make best use of resource, ensure projects are aligned with strategy, and naturally introduce project governance.

Projects are also about people, and this course will cover the management of people in your projects, and the creation of a project environment in the workplace; enabling you to build productive teams, diffuse conflict, get quicker buy-in and use effective delegation to move projects forward.

What you will gain
This 1 day workshop provides an introduction to industry principles for project management, and gives delegates an understanding of the infrastructure and process for effective management of projects of all sizes.

The course will cover:

  • How to plan a Project
  • Developing a Project Initiation Document (PID)
  • The Project Management process
  • Creating, managing and motivating a project team
  • Project communication systems
  • Project outcomes and governance

This workshop will provide the tools to enable participants to effectively plan, set up and manage projects in the workplace.
