ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Running Effective Meetings
Course details
Effective meetings achieve objectives, are time effective and enable participants to leave with the feeling that a process has been followed and outcomes will be produced.
However, meetings have the potential to tie up a lot of resource with limited outcomes, a great many meetings waste a great deal of everyone’s time. Running effective meetings will enable the best use of resource and maximise outputs.
What you will gain
Developing and following a structure for effective meetings is an important part of the meeting process, i.e. planning, preparation and execution are the basic criteria for an effective meeting.
This workshop will enable participants to review the basic requirements of effective meetings. We will consider the structure, preparation and planning timetable and the execution of the meeting.
This half day course will provide advice and guidance cover:
- The types of meetings
- The preparation and running of meetings
- The agenda
- Timings
- Technology
- Personalities
- Minute writing
A well-run meeting, whether it is external or internal, which is concise and well-structured is much more likely to achieve its objectives. A consistent approach will enable participants to effectively maximise resources and outputs.
