The Wales Quality Centre provides Business Improvement and Skills Development Training and Support.  The Centre is a not-for-profit organisation and works across public, private and third sectors.

Our national campaign is the Journey to Excellence Annual Improvement Programme, which showcases the successes and best practices of organisations in Wales.

Journey to Excellence – Wales Quality Award Champions

The Wales Quality Awards were sponsored by Lloyds Bank and Sony Technologies of Pencoed and supported by Welsh Government’s Department for Education and Skills (DfES).

Balmoral Tanks of Llantrisant, who design and manufacture storage tanks for the European market and Elfed High School in Buckley, Flintshire beat off competition from across Wales to be named joint recipients of the Wales Quality Award.

Working with other organisations on a collaborative basis can gain competitive advantage through the better use of resources, cost, resource and risk management, as well as encouraging innovation.
This workshop is designed for managers, senior professionals, and those who work in an environment where collaborative working will improve performance and bring mutual benefit. This includes those working in aerospace, construction, manufacturing, public sector and transport.

Goal Setting
– 13th October 2017

Goal setting is a major component of personal development as well as enabling the achievement organisational objectives. This Goal Setting workshop will involve creating an action plan designed to guide and motivate individuals or groups to achieve objectives, be it personal or organisational.

The most important feature of goal setting is ensuring that the activities in the action plan contribute to achieving the desired result. This two-hour morning event will show you how to avoid the pitfalls of conflicting goals and targets.

Solving Problems Practically
– 24th November 2017

Effective Problem Solving is not something we do naturally, we often jump to conclusions based on past experience. During this two-hour session we will cover: clarifying and breaking down problems, cause and effect analysis; countermeasures and implementation; standardising successful results.
