Course details

This interactive course is designed to provide a practical approach to the use of auditing as a tool to help achieve an integrated management system. It approaches the integration of management systems from a risk-management perspective, encouraging participants to take the broadest possible view of the processes in their organisation and the risk sources that need to be identified, controlled and improved. It also considers the implications of multi-standard certification and develops the basis for an integrated approach to management systems auditing.

This foundation training course is useful as an introduction for anyone involved in the development, implementation and management of an Integrated Management System. The aim of this course is to provide participants with an overview of the purpose and requirements of an Integrated Management System.

  • understand the principles and mechanisms for the integration of Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety Management Systems
  • appreciate the importance of the legislative and regulatory requirements for the business in structuring an integrated approach
  • prepare, implement, report and track internal audits of management systems in an integrated manner
  • contribute to the development, improvement and integration of their organisation’s management system
